Submissions are now open for the Bucheon International Animation Festival (BIAF) 2026, taking place from October 23–27, 2026 in South Korea. (www,biaf.or.kr)
The festival is currently accepting:

• Short animated films (including Graduation and TV & Commissioned) until June 30, 2026
• Feature animated films until July 31, 2026

Founded in 1999, the Bucheon International Animation Festival (BIAF) is one of Asia’s leading animation festivals. It has evolved into an international competition festival featuring five categories: (※ AI-generated works are also eligible for submission in all categories.)

• Short
• Graduation
• TV & Commissioned
• Korean Short

BIAF is also an Academy Award® Qualifying Festival, meaning that the Grand Prize winner in the short film category becomes eligible for consideration in the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. Eligibility

• Feature films: over 40 minutes
• Short / Graduation / TV & Commissioned films: under 40 minutes
• Films must be completed after January 1, 2025
• Films must not have been previously submitted to BIAF
• Korean Premiere preferred
• Submission fee: Free

Deadlines

• Shorts, Graduation, TV & Commissioned: June 30, 2026
• Features: July 31, 2026
