Notice [BIAF2026 Program] Closed Entry for Shorts 2026-07-01 14:43
1 July 2026 (KST) – The 28th Bucheon International Animation Festival (BIAF2026) has officially closed submissions for its short film sections (Short, Graduation, TV & Commissioned, and Korean Short).
BIAF2026 received a total of 3,722 submissions from 121 countries.
The official selections for the short film sections will be announced in August through the BIAF website (www.biaf.or.kr).
The recipient of the BIAF Grand Prize for Short Film will be eligible for consideration in the Animated Short Film category of the Academy Awards®.
Submissions for the International Competition Feature Film section remain open until 31 July 2026, with the official selection to be announced in September.
We sincerely thank all filmmakers for submitting their valuable works. We look forward to welcoming you to BIAF2026, which will take place from 23–27 October 2026 in Bucheon, South Korea.
