1 July, 2025 (KST) BIAF – The 27th Bucheon International Animation Festival (BIAF2025) has closed the International competition entries for short films (Short, Graduation, TV & Commissioned, Korean Short).
In 2025, we received 2,777 film submissions from 107 countries, an increase of 25 films compared to last year. The selection will be announced by the mid of August through our website (www.biaf.or.kr).
The recipient of the BIAF Grand Prize in Short will be eligible for consideration in the Animated Short Film category of the Academy Awards®.
We sincerely appreciate everyone who submitted their precious works. We look forward to seeing you all at BIAF2025 (October 24-28, Bucheon, South Korea)!
