Jin KIM

Animation Director | Korea

Jin(Sang Jin) KIM is a well-known character designer creating characters such as Rapunzel in Tangled(2010), Anna and Elsa in Frozen(2013), Hiro in Big Hero 6(2014) and Moana in Moana(2016). He worked as an animator at Walt Disney Animation Studios from 1995. He is also the first Korean Animator to be working for Walt Disney Animation Studios. His drawings in films are Fantasia2000, The Princess and the Frog, Bolt, Tangled, Frozen, Big Hero 6, Zootopia and Moana. He is also the first Korean Animator as a member of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences(OSCARS). Currently he is working on Locus Animation Studio's Red Shoes and the 7 Dwarfs as character design & animation head.
Sébastien LAUDENBACH

Director | France

Sébastien LAUDENBACH directed Des Câlins dans les Cuisines(2004) after studying at ENSAD, where he made the short Journal(1999) and won the Jury Award at Clermont–Ferrand Short Film Festival. He later worked on poster designs and credit sequences for Emmanuel MOURET's films, before returning to animated short film by 2009 Annecy selection Regarder Oana(2009), and Vasco(2010), nominated at Cannes Film Festival. Later, he co-directed with Sylvain DEROSNE on Daphné ou la Belle Plante(2015). His first feature debut, The Girl without Hands screened at Cannes ACID and won BIAF2016 Grand Prize as well as Jury distinction Prize at Annecy.
Doris CLEVEN

Director of Brussels Animation Film Festival | Belgium

After a master in English and Russian translation, Doris CLEVEN starts to work, in 1984, in a young and innovative Brussels animation studio called Graphoui. She discovers the world of animation and never left it since then. In the studio, she works notably for the The Brussels Festival of Cartoons and Animated films, later named Festival Anima. In 1988, the studio collapses and she is founding with Philippe MOINS, Folioscope, a non-profit association, to pursue the organisation of the festival, that she is heading alone since 2014. Beside the festival, Folioscope promotes animation cinema by publishing DVD's, editing programs, writing specialized articles on animation, designing exhibition. Folioscope is also proposing an archive center on animation. Doris is teaching history of animation in several colleges in Belgium.
KOBAYASHI Osamu

Director | Japan

Initially, he worked as a designer and cartoonist. After he participated in the game Grandia(1997), he became active in various fields such as animation director, director, illustrator, and mechanic designer. In 2002, he made his directorial debut with table&fishman, which was included in the short film collection Digital Juice. Since then, he directed many famous animated films such as Paradise Kiss, BECK, Gurren Lagann, Lupine the Third and Naruto Shippuden. He has a rich fan base due to his unique animation style and is regarded as an irreplaceable outstanding individual in the Japanese animation industry.

Nina GANTZ

Director | Netherlands

Nina GANTZ is a London based animation director. She was born as the daughter of a theatre technician and an actress, and spent much of her time watching countless theatre productions which led her to develop a keen sense for visual storytelling. Nina attended the St. Joost Art School. Her graduation film Zaliger(2010) was selected at BIAF2011. In 2013, she began a Masters in Animation at the National Film and Television School where she made her first stop-motion Edmond(2015). It won the Jury Award at Sundance Film Festival, best animated short at BAFTA(British Academy) and BIFA(British Independent Film Award). She was on the 30 under 30 Entertainment European Forbes on 2016.
Yves NOUGARÈDE

Program Manager of Annecy International Animated Film Festival | France

Yves NOUGARÈDE is a program manager of Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Born in 1974 in Annecy, He began his film education in high-school and continued the studies at Lumière University Lyon2. He has joined the film department of Annecy International Animated Film Festival since 1997, and later, he was a member of the selection committee at Annecy.
Raúl GARCIA

Director | USA

Raúl GARCIA was a character animator on such modern classics as Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King and Pocahontas. After Fantasia 2000 Raúl moved as sequence director for Paramount on films like The Rugrats in Paris and Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius nominated for an Oscar for best animated feature. In 2002 he joined Kandor Graphics as creative director, with the award winning short film The Tell Tale Heart, and soon afterwards as co-writer and director with his partner Manuel SICILIA on the feature film The Missing Lynx. He recently made Animated Feature Extraordinary Tales based on Edgar Allan POE stories and selected numerous festivals such as Annecy, Stuttgart and Animafest Zagreb.

TAKEUCHI Koji

Producer | Japan

Former president of Telecom Animation Film Co., Ltd. TAKEUCHI began his career at Nippon Animation Co., Ltd. in 1976. He worked on various TV series including Conan, the Boy in Future with directors MIYAZAKI Hayao and TAKAHATA Isao. He joined Telecom Animation Film Co., Ltd. in 1980 with MIYAZAKI and TAKAHATA. They worked on many TV shows and feature films such as Lupin the 3rd, Sherlock Hound, Chie the Brat, and Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland. He has worked with Warner Bros for Tiny Toon Adventures, Superman: The Animated Series, and The New Batman Adventures, also with Walt Disney Television Animation for Duck Tales and The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Currently, he is a Festival Director of Tokyo Anime Award Festival.
Nádja ANDRASEV

Director | Hungary

Nádja ANDRASEV was born in Budapest, Hungary. She graduated from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design and where she made her graduation film, The Noise of Licking(2016), a story about a voyeur cat and woman with an excessive love for plants, and a peculiar visitor in a fur hat. This film premiered in the Ciné foundation Selection at 2016 Cannes Film Festival and won 3rd Prize. It also won Grand Prize at BIAF2016 in Graduation Film. Her next film Symbiosis has been announced in project at Visegrad animation forum, Czech 2017.
KIM Tak Hoon

Director, Professor | Korea

KIM Tak Hoon is a director and professor at the Graduate school of Advanced Imaging Science, Multimedia & Film, at Chung-Ang University. After graduated from School of Visual Arts in New York, he worked as an Animation Supervisor at MTV Network and a faculty at Animation Department at School of Visual Arts. He founded Tak Toon Enterprise and Central Animation Studios when he came back to Korea. His short A Purple Man(2011) won Grand Prize at Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia in Japan. He recently made TV Series The Forks with Spiky Hands(2015) and won Jury Prize at BIAF2016 for TV & Commissioned Film.
