LEE Sung-gang

Director

LEE Sung-gang started his career as an animator in 1995. He debuted as a feature-length animation director with My Beautiful Girl, Mari(2002) which won the Best Awarded 2002 Annecy International Animated Film Festival(Grand Prix, Best Feature Film). For his sophomore effort, he directed the live-action feature film Texture of Skin(2005). He returned to animation with Yobi, the Five Tailed Fox(2007) and Kai(2016). He was awarded Animafest Zagreb(O-Nu-Ri : Special Award) in 2004, and Chicago International Children's Film Festival(O-Nu-Ri : Certificate of Excellence Prize) in 2005. His recently made feature Kai(2016) screened at Annecy2016 out of competition.
Equan CHOE

Director

Studied Linguistics at Seoul National University. 11th Graduating Class of Korean Academy of Film Arts(KAFA). After receiving his MFA in Filmmaking from San Francisco Art Institute, he made his directorial debut with Whispering Corridors 4: Voice. He received much critical attention for his sensible direction and experimental sound. Then he produced Life Is Cool a feature length rotoscope animation and then another feature film titled Mama. CHOE served as Director of Korean Academy of Film Arts(KAFA). As a pirector of of Ingtoogi, Socialphobia, and Alice in Earnesland , he achived great success even though the films were low-budget projects. Later, he also established a foundation to foster talented actors and directors who would lead the future of Korean films. Since 2015, he has been a professor of Theater and Film at Soongsil University, and continues to plan and direct films.
Mari KIM

Artist

Mari KIM is a Korean/Australian artist. In 2006, she was a speaker at Pictoplasma Art Festival, a global character art festival. In 2007, she held many private and group exhibitions in Seoul to showcase her works, and published a collection of essays under the title Eyedoll in 2008. While working exclusively for Gana Art Gallery, she held a private exhibition titled ‘Famous Show.’ At Hakgojae Gallery, she held another private exhibition ‘SETI.’ From December 2016 to February 2017, ‘La Vie Parisienne’ was held in celebration of 130 years of diplomatic ties between Korea and France. In 2011, she participated in the artwork of YG Entertainment 2NE1’s album and produced their music video Hate You. Having gained popularity as a pop artist, she participates in launching domestic brands and promotes overseas activities. In particular, she works in various corners of the world including actively in UK, Germany, USA, and Taiwan.
KIM Kkob-bi

Actress

Debuted with the film Jealously Is My Middle Name and took the leading role of So-dan in the feature length musical horror Midnight Ballad for Ghost Theater. She received the Tiger Award at the International Film Festival Rotterdam for her performance as Yeon-hee in Breathless. That same year, she also won Best Actress at the Blue Dragon Film Awards, Grand Bell Awards, and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival. Rather than limiting herself to live-action films, KIM participated as a voice actor for the feature length animation The House, which was screened in the official competition section at Annecy International Animated Film Festival, and then again for The King of Pigs which was invited to the Cannes Film Festival for Directors’ Fortnight as well as Annecy. She gave an energetic performance in Pluto, official selection for the 2013 Berlin International Film Festival and Lies, winner of Busan Film Festival.
