Synopsis
ALL YOU NEED IS KILL, based on the sci-fi manga by Sakurazaka Hiroshi, presents a fresh tension by focusing on Rita's perspective, unlike the film adaptation Edge of Tomorrow, starring Tom Cruise. In the near future, Earth is threatened by a gigantic alien plant called the Darol. Rita becomes central to the story, trapped in an endless loop of death and resurrection. The repeated tragic encounters with Keiji reveal possibilities of hope and solidarity, while the detailed artwork and bold shifts in perspective vividly convey the urgency of these loops. The battle equipment and designs, crafted with sci-fi imagination, overwhelm the screen, but above all, the work questions how humans grow and change within seemingly meaningless repetition.
