The Kitauji Wind Ensemble, now in its new school year, aims for gold in the national competition once again. Kumiko, now a senior, leads the freshmen in preparation for the competition, but the idiosyncratic first-years constantly cause trouble. Euphonium player Kanade, in particular, persistently approaches Kumiko, yet remains cynical due to past trauma. Based on the original two-part anime, this film is the first fully theatrical animated film in the series, boasting top-notch animation and direction. Above all, the film focuses on Kumiko's growth and inner self, creating a cohesive story.
